Large trees that are about to fall because they are dead, decaying, or otherwise damaged endanger your property and safety. When dealing with large, precarious trees, using a crane for removal is the safest approach. It minimizes risks associated with manual removal, ensuring the safety of both workers and property.

Our professionals at Harley’s Tree Service have extensive experience using a crane to gently clear enormous, hazardous, and difficult-to-access trees from your property efficiently. We utilize a remote-operated BIK 100-ton knuckle boom crane, equipped with a hydraulic grapple saw attachment, that allows us to cut down and remove trees without the need for a climber in some cases. This allows us to not have to put equipment on the client’s hardscape or turf. By carefully lifting and lowering sections of the tree, we can precisely control the process, reducing the time spent on removing the tree and the potential for damage to surrounding structures or existing trees.

When Is a Crane Needed for Tree Removal?

We will use a crane to remove a tree under these circumstances:

  • Complete tree removal. Taking out the whole tree can be a big job. Crane-assisted removal is required to remove entire trees efficiently.
  • Difficult to access trees. Some tree placements are in yards too small for a bucket truck to access or in front of septic tanks that cannot be driven over with heavy equipment. Our crane will allow us to remove the tree using its boom.
  • Tree removal for large species can be a hazard. Whether the entire tree or just substantial pieces need to be removed, our crane-assisted tree removal service can manage even larger species such as oaks and pines. Using a crane is the quickest and most efficient approach to eliminating huge species since it allows us to transport whole portions at once rather than smaller parts. It also provides greater control over larger portions of the trunk as they are moved.

When climbing trees becomes dangerous, crane removal is the safest option for the crew, property owner, and property.
