When Tree Removal Is Necessary

Tree removal is necessary when a tree poses a risk, is no longer viable, or interferes with the property’s landscape plan. Dead or severely diseased trees should be removed if there are safety hazards or to mitigate the spread of disease. Structurally unsound trees due to rot, leaning, or storm damage pose a risk to property or people and should be removed.

Trees with roots that interfere with foundations, sidewalks, or underground utilities may need removal to prevent structural damage. Certain invasive tree species can also overtake native plants and cause environmental issues, requiring removal.

Also, sometimes trees are removed to allow for new construction, landscaping changes, or better land use.
